23 weeks

The husband bought the wife some gerberas this week to make her happy and in his words, because ‘I love you.’ So sweet : )

Baby is 23 weeks old this week! She has fixed waking and sleeping hours and kicks during meal times. Mummy still can’t smell or eat rice so baby has been having a lot of noodles. She likes it! We had vegetarian bee hoon this morning and she kicked really hard! Baby enjoys worshipping God too. Every time we worship, she gets all excited in mummy’s tummy. Her favourite song is ‘Jesus loves me’. She never fails to kick and punch when we sing that song to her. Mummy’s friends say she will be a natural leader and a very clever girl because she sits in for all of mummy’s leadership course lectures and tutorials.

We started shopping for baby this week! There are so many things to buy – from big items like baby’s cot and playpen to tiny items like baby’s nail clipper and swaddle. We thank God for the many aunties and uncles who have passed down or have bought us baby stuff. It’s so exciting to see the room fill up with baby items as the weeks pass. Papa has even started to plan the designated floor area for baby’s cot and play area!

Mummy is going back to teach in 3 weeks time. She decided to try on some of her work wear today. To her surprise, she could only fit into 4 out of the many dresses she has (even without the belts!). Our little one has really grown! Yay! (mummy too) Time to do some shopping!
